Me and my husband just moved into a lease to own home that was not finished being worked on before the closing. Our move in date was oct 1st and since we moved in it looks like they put a bandaid on things to make it look good when we went to look around and now everything is falling apart. the gas stove does not work, there are leaks under the sinks, some electrical outlets do not work, they put a toilet in the master bath that is leaning to one side, the a/c is not working properly, the hot water heater element is broken and that is just the beginning. they are sending people over to fix things as they are brought to their attention but i am scared they are going to start ignoring us and we are going to be left with a money pit. Any suggestions on what we should do.

Check your lease agreement to see what it states when it comes to repairs and your landlord's obligation and what voids the agreement. I would also consult the landlord/tenant laws of your state to see if what is in the lease agrees with what the law says. Once you have that, send your landlord a certified letter asking for all the repairs to be done by a certain date (preferably before the transfer of ownership takes place). If no resolution as demanded by your state's landlord/tenant law, consider sitting down with the landlord and discuss the possible anullment of such agreement.
