Business A subscribes to online data storage service provided by Business B. The subscriptions lapses or is canceled by one of the parties. Does Business A have any legal right to access the data remaining in the archives of Business B?

Probably not, and more than likely rendered MOOT if Business B has appropriate security protocols in place.

However, a definitive answer is best found by reading the contract between the parties, as well as the applicable SLA.

Good argument for keeping your own data storage even when paying for offsite storage as a precaution.
