Legal advice needed

I purchased 20 pieces of 1oz Maple leaf gold coins(I thought I did)
on 28th of may from the Gold dealer company.
They shipped it fully insured on 10th of june( I hope they did), they have the registration number.
But the shipment never arrived to me. The carrier either lost it or it was stolen.
The carrier told me to tell the sender to claim.
Now I want either my coins or my money back, but the Monex says the purchase is done, and
it wasn't their fault, so intil they get the money from the carrier I am not getting anything! And they don't know how long time
it willl take
Could you advise me what would be the best move from my side to get my product or the money back?
 
The company you dealt with should not penalize you for the carrier merchandise misplacement or loss. It is up to them to deal with the mishap on the delivery... I am surprised to heae that the carrier told you to tell the sender to claim. The sender has ways of verifying if the shipment was delivered or lost...You should request another set of coins and if they refuse, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and tell them that you will file a claim on small claims court to recover your money if they don't voluntarily do anything to accomodate you..

I feel the same way. What more funny:D thing is, that the USPS registration number will become "my" claim number.
When I said this shouldn't be my problem at all, He said "our" claim.

Anyway I appreciate for your comment, I've just complained to BBB like you suggested.And Monex Deposit Company listed "F" on their list, the lowest.

Today July 7th, after 30 days of shipment notice I actually receive the coins. I don't know what took it so long, but it showed the true color of the Dealer company I dealt with(MONEX DEPOSIT COMPANY 4910 Birch Street
Newport Beach, CA 92660)
I am not going to have anything to do with them anymore, the nice talking rep guy named BEN NABLE ext#2206, loses interest in you right after your cheque is cleared.It is very diffcult to talk to him as he knows who's calling, he just lets the answering mashine talk for him, and he never answers messages.
