Two years ago, I was a dancer in a gentleman's club. One of my customers bought me a car. He signed the title and gave it to me, but the title was never notarized (I wasn't aware that it needed to be) & also I have a paper that states that I received the car as a form of payment for working for his company (which was his "safe way" of doing things so he could save his own butt incase his wife found out he was visiting the club and spending money on dancers). This man is also my landlord, whom I have a "made up" rental agreement with (again a safe thing for him)-he has never made me pay bills for living in this house. A few weeks ago, his wife found a lot of things, bank statements, missing money, etc., and served him divorce papers and now he all of a sudden wants money from me-which I dont't have to give him so he said if I slept with him, we would be even, and I told him I wasn't willing to do that. A few days ago, I walked out of work to find that my car was missing. I called the guy and asked him if he knew anything and he said he didn't, so I filed a stolen car report with the local police. Today, I find out that last time I had the car serviced, the guy had the dealership make an extra key, and he had the car picked up while I was working. On top of that, I found out that he had a tracking device installed in the car without my knowledge and he's been watching my every move since last September. In addition, I know of other illegal activity that this man is involved in, (he paid a girl to make an id with his wifes information and took out a HUGE loan in his wifes name) Is this at all legal? Can he take the car away after I've already had it for over a year? Or can I get my car back and press charges?
