Hey everyone! My name is Aileen and I was interested to see who watches some of TV's original dramas? Has anyone heard of USA Network's upcoming show Fairly Legal? I will admit that I do work with the network, but I was interested in hearing what you all thought. Fairly Legal follows the life of Kate Reed, a former attorney, who is now interested in solving cases outside of the court room. The show tackles the law in a different type of fashion and has a stellar cast, smart writing, and a unique premise that is sure to cast a new light on the legal scene.

I'm interested to hear your feedback. It starts Thursday, January 20 at 10/9c. Think you'll tune in and check it out?

I watch a few legal related and crime dramas on TV.

I also enjoy watching the TV "court" programs.

I'll take a peek at the new show and let you know what I think.

The premise is intriguing, I'll let you know how I received its premiere.

To your cast, "break a leg".

I suspect that a creative writer could cull lots of interesting show fodder from our site! :)

To be correct, this is a forum for assisting consumers with legal issues. It is not a site for advertising one's business. Let the OP start a blog.

Just my $.02.

For the most part, advertising here is specifically prohibited except as otherwise permitted and by agreement.

With regard to this post... what's funny is that it somewhat is advertising but this is exactly what this particular forum is for -- legal TV shows and the like. The poster has provided no misleading information (they are obviously the USA cable network) and are posting about their upcoming TV show which would be discussed here. Believe it or not, many years ago people wanted to push more discussion of law tv shows here, such as Ally McBeal and the like - which eventually paved the way for many other shows (some of which were on at the time like L.A. Law, Law & Order, etc.)

In this regard, I think that this is just fine. I truly appreciate Peppermint and MightyMoose for their comments. I wish the USA Network best of luck with the show and I hope they will feel free to discuss the show here... and better yet, mention us. :)

Hey everyone,

I apologize I didn't mean to stir up such a reaction! I do work with USA Network, but am very interested in hearing feedback from our fans about our shows. Since Fairly Legal is our newest series, it is important to us to see what you like about it and even to just discuss what is going on with each episode. Army Judge, I appreciate that you are going to check it out! If anyone else tunes in tonight at 10/9c remember that I'd love to hear any type of feedback, especially given your appreciation for the law.

LOL - not to worry. Typically many of us have terrible spam problems so the first moment we see someone posting an ad for something, the alarm goes off!

I saw the ad in the subway here in New York... I was curious to know how the producer arrived at that name! It would be great to also get some insight into the show, if you can provide it and you're most welcome to post it here.

I'll check out the show and look forward to commenting on it. Thanks for letting us know and we look forward to high quality legal shows!

I'm glad you asked about that actually! I have the perfect interview for you to read. It's with Michael Sardo, the creator and executive producer of Fairly Legal. It gives a great behind-the-scenes look into the show. Check it out below:

PS: Jacksgal, got your message! Not sure if mine is sending or not...but thank you!

Hey again, did anyone catch Thursday's episode? If not, you can always check it out on our website. (Personally I love watching it on there.) Here's the link:

LOL, I missed this thread when it started. I do like the show though. It could use a bit more polish for it to go long term IMO.

I've got this great idea for a legal show.
There's this professor and he creates an internet legal advice site.
A bunch of wacky characters sign on, and start giving legal bits and bites to the anonymous questioners.
I think such a show would be very interesting.
You could have a deputy sheriff, a supervisor in a police agency, a woman informed about divorces and child custody, a ranting, raving retired lunatic lawyer/judge, a guy that has issues about custody issues, the professor, a labor advice specialist, a curmudgeon from Canada, a loss prevention manager, the loss prevention manager's wife who runs an anti-shoplifting website, a law student that really knows civil procedure, a bankruptcy lawyer, and the usual misfits and those in legal jeopardy.

It could be called, The Law Forum!
