Legality of recording minors without consent

I'm in high school and one of my teachers video tapes all our performances without our permission.
Can somebody please provide me with a link to where it states that what he's doing is illegal (like the California penal code or whatever) so I can print it out and show it to him or the school?
I tried looking but couldn't find it.

Performances? Is this some sort of play or something and what makes you think its illegal? The laws regardling taping or recording usually involve issues of when the recordings are unknown. This does not appear to be the case here

It's not a play but it's like a group performance in front of the class. He records then and shows them to other classes. Is it not illegal?

No it is not. If its that big of an issue have the parents of the student make a request not to record their child

Not illegal. If you don't want to be recorded then simply ask the teacher to not record you. If you aren't satisfied with the answer then let your parents know. If your parents don't think it is a big deal then you are pretty much stuck being recorded.
There is nothing illegal about what you describe.
