I recently sold my car to a friend that gave me a $500.00 deposit and was going to pay me the balance in a month. I have the pink slip! He has been really hard to get a hold of, never calling me back, disconnecting his cell number and now after 2 months I have found him and filed a small claim suit today ready to be served. Now, in a message he wants me to give him back the $500.00 and return my car to me as he says it does not run. Funny, he has been driving it around, left driving the car. What should I do. Should I still file?
What about me holding the pink slip and him driving it around. It is regestired with the DMV as a non-op vehicle as it needed to be smogged and I have had another car, didn't need 2 that is why I was selling it.
