My sister was in a horrible car accident in Georgia about 9 months ago. She was injured as well as my other sister that only God kept her here. The other car had turned into the direct path of hers. A young man was driving that car that was owed by the mother of the passenger in the car. That girl lost her life in the crash. My sister agreed to a plea for a DUI (even though she was under the legal limit). Not defending her actions at all for drinking anything before driving. The young man driving the other car was charged in the girl's death. ( I thought he should have been charged for my other sister due to fact even the doctors said she should not have lived). Saying all of this. The girl's family has been posting on their myspace page and yesterday posted photos of both cars with a statement killed by a drunk driver and stated my sister's full name. This has been done by the mother and aunt. This has gone on for months and I have been printing every statement they have made. Could they not be sued for liable statements due to the fact they are flat are lying?

It's a terrible accident and sorry to hear. But why did your sister agree to plea to a DUI if she wasn't guilty of the offense? If she pleaded guilty, that would make the statements true.
