Hello
I brought a car from DZ motor vehicles n NJ. The Feds shut the car dealer down and i been trying to gey my plates. I still have a temporary plate on my car for almost 3 months. Been trying to get plates but dont know where to turn to. Everyone giving me the run around. Can someone plate tell me what i have to do.

Contact your state's DMV and ask about a bonded title.

Been trying to get plates but dont know where to turn to.

Is it just the plates that you need? If you already have the title all you need to do is go to the DMV yourself and get the plates issued to you.

But if you don't have the title yet, you will need to get the title first.

New Jersey doesn't appear to allow for posting a bond to get title but it does have a procedure for obtaining title when a dealer goes out of business:
