I received a city ordinance violation in early September 2008. I went to trial on Oct. 7th and plead out for court supervision where I received a suspension of my license for 90 days.
I contacted the secretary of state's office recently regarding when I should expect to get notice of this suspension being that I was convicted about a month ago.
I got a reply today stating that basically there is no file on record of any impending suspensions or revocations.
Is a month's time from signed plea to supervision... to any record with the sec. of state ...too short to expect any type of progress?
I'm beginning to get aggravated having been signed to supervision a month ago and still waiting to deal with my punishment. I'd think a punishment like a suspension of drivers license should be enacted in a timely manner. A this rate my supervision will come to an end a month before my license would be reinstated (if i got it taken tomorrow).
Does anyone know if there is any limitations on how quickly the sec. of state must take action on a court decision? I would expect them to at least be processing my information a month after the fact rather than having no record of it.
thoughts?
