Stepmom has been left life estate of marital residence in the will.
What is considered marital residence. Dad had 3 parcels of land.
Under the house is about 2 acres in that parcel.
The other 2 parcels together is about 40 acres.
The driveway is in the other 2 parcels.
If she is awarded only the house and 2 acres under the house as life estate,
do we have to provide her with an easement to the property since the property is land locked.
Since the 2 sons get the rest and remainder of the marital residence, does this mean that
the sons get the rest of the acres?
The step mom may file a Year's support.
Do we need to list the reasons on the year's support?
What type of reasons should we put down to oppose the year's support or do we put any down?
What will be put on the deed for the title of the property and whose names.
The will says that she will pay for property taxes. Does she pay for property taxes for all 3 parcels or just
the parcel that is determined to be the marital residence?
Thanks.
