Hi all,

My girlfriend booked a limo over the phone a month or so ago. At the time, the limo owner asked for a credit card in case of "any damages". No money was exchanged at this point.

This morning, she called to cancel and was informed that there was a $175 canellation fee. Is this legal? She was never told of this fee nor was has she signed any contract.

thanks for any input!

Troy - Are you sure she was not read a disclaimer when it came to the services and cancellation fees and for how far in advance she had to give them notice for in the event of a cancellation?

If she still feels that this was not the case, then she will have to take them to small claims court to recover the cancellation fee.
