I just got a litigation letter from a company whose products I sold on eBay. I found out weeks after selling the products that they were not authentic. My eBay store was closed and I never sold another item. Today I got a litigation letter asking me for my supplier information, invoices, etc. It said that I have to pay a fine of $10,000 as well. My question is, what the heck should I do? Can they really make me pay a $10,000 fine? I had no prior experience selling on eBay and I was told that the items I was selling are authentic. Please help!

There are numerous messages here about the same issues. You should read their experiences. Typically you'll receive a demand letter for a large amount of money, hoping that you'll be scared into settling with them quickly and for a large sum of money. I would never agree to anything unless I had a full settlement agreement in writing, e.g. I am an innocent victim selling what I believed to be legitimate goods and, if I will provide you with my supplier info, you will release me from all claims.
