Live in Friend

I have a friend who moved into my house 3 years ago. I have asked this individual to move out and they have refused. This person was not asked to pay rent and has not. This person has no lease. Do I need to give notice to vacate to this person or can I just pack the persons belongings and change the locks on the doors?

Generally you give notice to vacate and if person(s) does not leave yu begin eviction process. However check your states guidlines to be sure
