Can you give me some advice please, i gave up my housing association home to live with my partner, i have 4 children from 13 yrs old to 20 yrs old from my previous marriage. My new partner promised me that we would buy a little home between us as the home he is living in is worth 2 million and in trust to his son. My partner also owns his own electrical company. We talked about a little investment for me to leave my children if i died and also what would happen to me when my partner dies being the house is in trust for his son. He told me that his family would see me ok as he can not put anything in his will about me due to the tax issues, also he said that if we brought a small property the home would still go to his son if he dies which has really hurt me. What rights have i got, if we split up, would i be entitled to anything? Also what are my rights regarding him, i gave up everything secure to live with him and now i am just working for nothing? I live in uk. I am not married to my partner. We have been arguing a lot lately and if i leave him i would be homeless and renting in the private sector is not a secure home as i had before. He also has good accountants and solicitors that would beat me down

This board is for US law only but since you are not married you may have only few rights. nobody on a message board is going to be able to help you. You need to develop an exit plan though. get employed and find a way to raise your kids, you cannot depend on this man to take care of kids that are not his. Are you getting child support from their father?
