im writing to see if i have an actually case and to see if htere is some point in pursuing it. ok i lent my boyfrend money about four times each time was a loan and verbally he promise me he would pay hte moneyh back. time has pass and i still havent received my money. so i called him and recorded the conversation of us and him saying he will pay me my money back. ann the only documentation i have is the receipts from the western union place saying i lent him money and to whom i lent it to and the amount. people keep telling me the only way i can get it back if i have a written statement but we live two hours aways so i was never able to get one. i just wanna know is htere anyhting i can do

Since Georgia is a one-party consent state, you may be able to use the recording of him saying he will pay you back. This would indicate that he agrees the money was a loan, as opposed to it being a gift.

The dollar limit for small claims court in Georgia is $15000 (that's higher than most other states, in some cases substantially!).

There is information right here which I think might be very useful for you.
