I own a home and rent out a room to a roommate, thus a Lodger. We have no formal rental agreement or lease agreement. The tenant has fallen behind on paying rent and I would like to ask them to move out this weekend as they are unable to pay.
Do they infact have the same rights as a tenant? Do I need to file a 3 day Eviction notice? As the homeowner, this tenant has become hostile and I am very uncomfortable living and sharing the house.
Any advise you can offer would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
