Hello,
This is our concern … a friend of ours has cancer and has been in treatment since last August. She's a teacher's aid and they are dissolving the full time position at her current location and are transferring her to another school district, where she will work on a part time basis.
This will cancel her benefits and that will have a devastating effect on her condition. She will no longer have health care.
The primary reason I'm send this information to you is because her supervisor told her he is doing this because she has cancer. Is this possible and/or legal? Aren't there new previsions in the revised health care system that can control this type of action?
Thanks,
Ed
