lOST RENT TO OWN CONTACT

My sister past in June of 2012 leaving one child.She had a rent to own contact with the land lord for 21000.00.We paid off balance and then did tile search found a loan in 2007 but a contact was done with my sister Sept 2010.I have all but taxes that i'm paying a little at time.now the owner said i have to wait to 2017 to get a deed. Please help me get out this mess with my shirt.

Land contracts are nothing more than leases on steroids.

I suggest you consult a lawyer in your area.

Spend a $300-500 to have a lawyer lay out your rights.

I suspect you'll be surprised, because no one should ever buy any real property under a land contract.

You might never recover anything.

You should have consulted a lawyer before doing anything.

You might have saved yourself thousands of dollars, that you might never see again.
