My fridge has not worked properly on and off for 3 years. It stays cold but the light remains on with the door shut.

I've had it "repaired" inside and outside warranty. Recently, the manufacturer sent yet another repairman to my home though it's now out of warranty. He say's he'll send me an adhesive panel to increase contact with the light off button inside the fridge from the door. Out of the blue, two fedex packages show up on my porch. One is a new door and assembly, the other is a handle I think. I haven't opened either package.

I believe the repairman was sent by the appliance manufacturer via customer service, as I did not intially contact him directly. I would guess the parts were ordered by the repairman. The note on the packing slip I just noticed is to Bill To: XXX Serv. & parts center (followed with address) and SHIP TO: Me.

The repairman calls me yesterday and stated I have to pay for these items and his time to fix the fridge. I never discussed any terms or conditions with him or the appliance manufacturer. Can I keep these items or do I need to return them?

What recourse do I have to get my fridge fixed? Thanks!
