I recently purchased a cell phone from an authorized dealer (under a well known company) and decided to return it. The return policy stated on the contract said the phone must have less than 30 mins. of talk time and within 30 days to return. Upon trying to return it the manager said there was more than 30 mins of talk time(he refused to look at the call timer there is only 4 mins.) not only said "no", but said he doesn't have to honor anything it's "his store" and he can do what he wants. He then called the police and had me removed from the store....unbelievable. I went through corperate to try and resolve the issue they said it was "at the managers discretion". Kind of impossible to get anywhere with the matter if no one is willing to physically look at the call timer. I then called the headquarters of this company and I'm still getting the run around. I feel they are going to stretch this out beyond the 30 days and then the return policy will be voided..return policies are in place for a reason, it's a shame they treat customers like this. If you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it...Thank you

Exactly. Stores hate the bad press, and you will get results much quicker. Not only that, but when they do take care of you, they still get the bad press, so kind of a penalty if you will for acting that way. Plus, it doesn't cost you anything.
