I own one 16th of the freehold of this property (16 flats), a lease holder and a tenant for the past 3 years I have lived a nightmare. The managing agent and the directors who are working hand in hand. Refuse to hold any meetings, until forced by Companies House, then refuse to discuss anything. Now refuse to provide access to the company accounts/supporting information. Over the past year we have worked with the leasehold advisory team, companies house etc and done everything they asked, sent all the statutory letters. Still no better off. I now understand that it is a criminal act not to provide access to the accounts. I am not sure where to go from here and in need of desperate help. I have tried the local council, they fob me off informing me although they have the powers to act, they are not duty bound to do so, they have only helped twice in 7 years so advice me to seek alternative help.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need an attorney with regard to this case. You've got many documents that you need reviewed. You may wish to speak to a governmental agency if there is suspected criminal activity. Additionally, real estate law varies by state and is specific to each jurisdiction. Good luck.
