Medical bills show up 4 years later

i had dental treatments in 2004 and was not notified of a balance until 2008 by a collection agent. I contacted the insurance company to verify the claims and they denied ever receiving one of the claims in the amount that was stated by the dental billing representative. It is too late to make the claim in question now according to the insurance agent. I have been unsuccessful in talking to the dental billing representative since speaking with the insurance company.

Go ahead and make the claim. I don't know if it will be paid by the insurance.

In any event, pay the doctor and you and the insurance company fight it out.
