Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Medical School Admission w/ Petit Larceny Charge when 19

I am applying to medical school w/ a past charge of petit larceny (over 10 ago) for taking approx $10 worth of goods from a store during my first semester of college (NY). I completed community service and the case was dismissed, but the question on the app was have you ever been charged or convicted w/ a misdemeanor or felony. Will this misdemeanor affect my chances of admission to a US or international medical school? Thank you.
