I just became aware that my Grandfather 9 generations ago was granted 300,000 acres from the Spanish crown. The land has since been sold but the mineral rights have not. Our lawyer advised us that the oil companies have to keep a suspense fund to hold royalties for undetermined heirs to the estate. My family thinks that it is an open and shut case. I don't. Our lawyer can prove that we are the heirs without a doubt. Do we have a case?
