Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Minor charged with felony theft

My jurisdiction is: Massachusettes

Hi,
Yesterday I was caught stealing from my place of business, but i was not formally arrested. I was caught stealing both clothes and money with a total greater than $250. I was upfront and honest with them and the police officer, but I am still waiting to be formally charged. Does anyone know the likely outcome of the case, i am only 17 and thus a minor in my state. What is the likelihood that i will only have to pay them back and not get charged or convicted of a felony.
