I had a client once that was arrested for armed robbery.

After I assisted with his arraignment, it was learned that the police discovered he had allegedly committed six more armed robberies, a burglary, and had also shot one of his robbery victims.

This one man crime wave, was met by police detectives from three neighboring towns upon his release on recognizance after I had artfully assisted him at the initial arraignment. Before the proceeding had ended, the prosecutor whispered to me what was going to occur.

It was quite a charade, I must say, and the look on the guy's face was priceless, because his unknown co-defendant met him on the jailhouse steps. Needless to say, they were both hustled back inside, and arrested on all the new charges.

The police are unrestricted with their ability to bring miscreants to the bar of justice as many times as necessary so they can receive justice.
