Hi,
My friend got an M.I.P for alcohol a couple weeks ago. Maybe a month before that he got an M.I.P for marijuana, which they are making him only take classes for. If someone goes to court with him for the M.I.P. of alcohol, and takes part of the blame, could his charge be lessened? Or because he was the only one written up at the scene, then is he the only one who can appear at court? We live in Petaluma, California. Any information is greatly appreciated,
Michael

sorry, the marijuana charge was "unlawful possession of marijuana" because we are both 18.
