My daughter is 14 she was caught shoplifting in Mxxxxx they gave her and amount of 425 to pay what will happen if she don't pay they said she has 5 days to pay she dont have that money I'm not working
If you don't pay, she's a minor, and can't be made to pay; they could sue you. However, they rarely sue people, because there are too many thieves.
That said, ONLY a judge can order you to pay anyone, and that appends ONLY after a trial has been held.
What they gave your daughter is a demand letter.
So, pay, or ignore, the choice is yours.
If I were you, I'd ignore. But, I'd also have a very long talk with my thieving daughter. If she keeps stealing, she'll end up in jail or prison. She'll have a criminal record, and have a very hard time supporting herself.
