I am 19 years old. I had been drinking with dinner starting at about 7pm, and at about 11:15pm, my friend showed up at my house, had about 3 shots of vodka and wanted to go to my other friends house, which is right across the way. We decided to pick up our other friend "Ben" and everything was going fine. On the way to her house, not 3 minutes away, we saw some girls in the car honking at us, and we pulled over to the side of the road about 1/3 a block after they did and we thought we'd get a number. As soon as we pulled over with Hazard lights on a police officer came up behind us with lights on and asked us why we had stopped. We replied that the engine had overheated, and some girls were parked behind us that we were gonna talk to. He ran the I.D, everything was going fine, and he peered into the back seat and noticed my friends bong sitting on "Ben's" feet. Ben hadn't noticed it, and I don't smoke marijuana. He had all 3 of us handcuffed and detained in the car for about an hour. They searched my other friend, Tom's car, and found the bong, a pipe, an empty bottle of vodka from weeks ago we didn't know was there, and a bag he used to carry his marijuana. Ben was found with a pipe and tin foil used to smoke oxy. I don't do drugs, only alcohol, and when asked I told him, nothing belongs to me, I drank a few hours ago but I am sober now, and they searched me, found nothing. I asked the other officer that was with him what it meant that I was in the car with the paraphenlia and he said it was "----- possession" (Not sure the word, started with a c) He asked me to breathalize, i told him I had drinks hours ago, and I took it. He didn't tell me any results, nor write it on my ticket. We were all given tickets, mine with a "Minor in Possession/Consumption Alcohol". And let go.
I want to know what is roughly ahead. My court date is in 11 days, I haven't smoked weed in a while and probably would pass a urine test.
Tom was slapped with marijuana under 40 grams, MIP/MIC.
In the court, will I be charged with possession of the bong, the pipe and vodka, which were all not mine?
