Hello,

I recieved an MIP in May of 2004 in Irvine, California. I payed the necessary fine and took the necessary AA meetings. About a year later, in June, I recieved another MIP. I was wondering, in california, I heard there is an 18 month law stating that if you get a MIP and get your "diversion" classes, you cannot get another MIP within 18 months of that, or else you will get your license suspended. I have court on FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th, so if anyone can help me out, if I should even go or not, please guilty or innocent, I would really appreciate it. I turn 21 in about a year, so I was also told I could probably hold out until then and once im 21, i'd be chill. I DO NOT WANT MY LICENSE GONE!! Thanks

I think you should plead guilty . Usually the fine will be more than last time + your driver license might get suspended for 30-60 days then with restriction . Good luck tomorrow
