ok, so my friend and i were both given a MIP 25663 and we both admitted to drinking alcohol that night to the officers. my question is, i have been reading the forums and it looks like i'm in for my license to be suspened... is there any certain way i could get out of my license being suspended or maybe just restricted? any help on what i should say to the judge since pleading "not guilty" wouldn't be the best move since we both admitted to drinking that night with the officers. any help on this situation would be much appreciated due to the fact that i work 2 jobs and am attended a cummunity college where i can't live on campus... i need my license! Thanks
25662 is the typical MIP and can result in a fine of up to $250 or 24 to 32 hours of community service. 25663 results when you employ or use a minor on the premises and has much more serious consequences including jail time.
Also, if convicted of 25662, your license SHALL be suspended for up to three years. A court MAY allow a restricted license if you have a compelling reason.
Why do you NEED a driver's license? To go where? And what might happen if you did not have said license, and why can't you avail yourself of other opportunities for transport (bus, carpool, taxi, etc.)?
shooot, i could always use the bus, but i really don't want to. is there any reason that i could "say" that i might not have? like an excuse or something...

If you have a compelling need for school or employment, a judge might show mercy. Be prepared to ask why you can't carpool or use a bus. Some judges are tougher than others when it comes to these exceptions.
