Hello I plead guilty to an MIP charge in Stanton, Michigan in August of 2005. I was quite drunk but I had a sober driver and was in his car not mine. I pled guilty, paid the fines, etc. Now my insurance is being raised because of this and they are filing it under a DUI, is there anything I can do about this? Is it legal for the Secretary of State to even release this information?
