About three years ago my business partner and I purchased a car for our company. The car was bought under the company name but under my name as the owner. Six months later we decide the business isn't going to work and decide we want to sell the car. My business partner uncle who has a business himself decides he would like to purchase the car from me. He states all I have to do is come up to the dealership and sign the car over to him. Keep in mind this is the same dealership I originally bought the car from which was recommended by the uncle. I even went through the uncle's finance friend at the dealership. I go up to the dealership and speak to the finance manager and ask about selling the car to the uncle he states all have to do is sign the car over and the uncle will own it. The uncle states once he has ownership of the car he is going to trade it in for a Ford truck.

I sign the papers thinking everything is good. I get papers from my loan company stating the car has been paid off since it has been sold. About a month later I am getting letters in the mail as if my credit has been ran for a new car (Ford truck). I call the dealership and ask the finance manager about the letters and ask if my credit has been ran for this car and why. He states no and that it's a mistake. I call my business partner uncle and ask if he knows why I am getting letters in the mail about my credit being ran. He states it is a mistake and is not sure why (I have also have text messages). Two months later I am getting a letter in the mail stating my car payment is past due and as the cosigner I am responsible for the payment. I call the finance manager leave a message and he no longer will respond or take my calls. I call the uncle and he keeps stating my credit has nothing to do with the car. I talked to the loan company and asked what could I do and they stated he would have to trade the car in or give it to me. I also talked to a lawyer and he stated to call the dealership speak to a manager and also to contact the uncle and tell him to trade the car in.

Basically the car dealership states they can't do anything and the man has been fired. The uncle will not trade the car in or give it to me. Do I have any other options at all?

Car payment for what? The truck that your uncle bought? Or the car that you bought earlier? Is it the same lender as before or a different lender?

Contact the lender and report what you know.
You know that SOMEONE allegedly used your credit details to buy a truck, after you GIFTED a car to your uncle.

Don't trust the fox to punish himself for eating your hems and their eggs. Trust the lender to work with you to correct the record. Be further advised that you might be required to report the illicit use of your name to buy a truck.

Good luck. Frankly, a thief is a thief, a crook is a crook. Blood doesn't matter to me. I'll report a stranger as quickly as a relative for stealing from me.

I am getting a bill for the 'Ford truck" that my ex business partner uncle bought, stating as the co-buyer I am responsible for the car. He bought the focus from me that's what I signed over, I never signed for another car which is the issue.

The lender for the Focus and the lender for Truck are the same.

Thank you for the advice! I'm not related to this man, he is the uncle of my ex business partner. This man knows what he has done is shady, he even left me a message saying there is nothing I can do to take this car.

Uncle, friend, stranger, it doesn't matter.
A crook is a crook, a thief is a thief.
Contact the police, contact the lender, report what you know, ask for help.

STOP COMMUNICATING with the thief, liar, crook (who isn't related to you).

Why bother trying to convince an armed robber NOT to rob you?

By now, I'd have told every law enforcement agency who would listen that this crook SCAMMED me, hurt my credit, stole from my family.
