its a long story but in short, i split from my ex-partner 3 years ago, as it was a bad relationship, he was working full time and we agreed that i would stay home to take care of the children, but just before he left he threatened that he would not pay off the bills out of spite as to mess me up when he's gone, well he kept to his word and now i am having seroius problems sorting it out and im now too stressed to fight against the housing as they say it is law for them to 1, keep me and my 2 kids. girl of 9 and boy of 5 in a 1 bedroom flat, 2, revoke my visitors permit which is free, all because of rent arrears that i did not cause, i need help in knowing if i have a case to take lambeth housing to court for these problems and also i need to locate a solicitor that specialises in dealing with lambeth council ,can u help or offer any advice as i have been fighting my housing constantly now for 9 years and i have all the paper work to prove it and i've tryed everywhere for help, thanks.

When they tell you something is law, ask them for a citation.

I suspect these things are not law. (I'm not sure I actually understand the first one - they are forcing you to stay in a 1 bedroom flat? Like, as in you can't leave?) I would be very surprised if the revocation of your visitor permit was "law".

However, these are actions they are taking in response to your arrears, however it was caused. These actions are governed by your rental agreement. You should have a close look at that to see what options they are allowed to do in response to your rent arrears.
