OK, newbie here so I'll try to be as clear as possible. In my parents will, I was left two specific items. One of these items, my brother 'coerced' out of my Mother prior to her passing away. My brother has since gotten rid of the item and no compensation was made towards myself for him doing so (he was aware that it was willed to me). My Mother didn't make any changes or amendments to the will after my Father passed away several years prior to her passing away recently. I made several suggestions to her to amend her will, but she said that my brother in question had told her it wasn't worth the time and effort to do so, and it would have cost my Mother money, which he told her she didn't have (my brother was also in charge of her finances after my Father passed away). I need to know if I have a legal right to request compensation for the missing inheritance that was due to me.
