Good Day All:
I am trying to cancel my MMA gym membership because off two reasons.
1. I am not getting the same service I once was
2. I dont feel safe going to the gym
To make a long story short I signed up for a 3 year contract with the assumptions that certain people were going to be my instructors. The gym expanded and my classes with these instructors became non existant. Because this was the first MMA gym I ever been too and I had a good experience in their intro program I decided to keep going for another month or so. Until I got hurt and busted my nose and was bleeding. I asked a substitute instructor what to do and he said keep going. I proceeded to get hit in the nose again. At this point I left the class and asked for ice since my nose was hurt and they said they had nothing.
I filed a complaint with BBB and the gym responded with they offered me a cold pack but I refused because it wasn't ice. That is a complete lie I was never offered anything and why would I refuse it. It would be stupid to do so.
So I am asking to terminate my contract with no termination fees.
They are saying I can terminate but have to pay 1/3 the remaining balance off 2300 dollars or so. I dont think I should pay any termination fees since they are negligent and show no interest in helping me when I got hurt. I dont feel safe going there what if I get hurt again what are they going to do.
Please help me out.
