Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft MN shoplifting charge - what are my options ? I need help

I was caught stealing with a friend at a department store, the clothes that were taken were valued at under 200 dollars, i'm 18 yrs old and have no record, is there such a program as denova where i could get lesser punishment for community service? is jail time an actual possibillity? would it be worth it to hire a lawyer? is it true that in mn it must be valued below 50 to be considered petty theft? if you could get back to me asap it would be greatly appreciated thank you so much!
