I purchased a home in a mobile home park 7years ago , not planning on ever moving, but the park has changed and with more kids noiser neighbors, got my truck keyed, people always throwing trash in my yard and so on. So I am moving I and renting a house. When I told the park I was moving they said I had to pay off the mobile home or I could get out of my contract for $1500, then I would just have to pay for any damages when I moved out. I informed them that I paid a $300, pet deposit that Iwas supposed to get back when the home was paid off. They told me that breaking the contract I forfieted that $300. My question is that there was damage to wall and things when I moved in that I feel they are going to try and charge me for to fix. I did not take any pictures when I moved in Iwas not planning on moving. I already paid the $1500 to break the contract so am I obligated to pay for any repairs, since I no longed have a contract with them. They would not give me a receipt for the $1500 except for the credit card receipt. they said they would send me one but never did. The carpet in the living room has pet stains and I don't mind paying $500 for that but I am afraid they are going to charge me 2 to 3 times what repairs cost because I got into and argument with them over the pet deposit , and manager got nasty about it. The home is a 1998 model and I lived there for 7 years making payments on it , I don't feel I should have to pay to make it new again,it wasn't when I moved in. Thanks for your time. I am doing my final inspection Tuesday at noon if anyone can answer me by then it would be great.
