i was caught for shoplifiting an was arrested n i payed the bonds man so i would not go to jail its my first time ever n i have a court date in 2weeks what am i to expect it in the state of ga n the amount that was stolein was $125 n the bonds bill is $812 so do i pay that r wait until the court date n will i go to jail i have to kids n my husband works so i do know what to expect r what to do ?

Shoplifting is a misdemeanor and a cite and release offense most of the time. Why did you have to bond out and what is exact charge?

Last year my husband got the same misdemeanor shoplifting charge. I was scared he was going to get jail time but when we went to court he only got 1 year probation, 1000 dollar fine, a shoplifting offenders class and some community service. the class cost 60 dollars in ga.
