met a girl online from the US. we never met for real. used to send her money from time to time to help her out cos we were gonna a marry.
the money used to be sent for reasons like: i lost job, need grocery, i cut myself, need surgery/medication. Daughter's b/day, christmas, being evicted, wrote checks which bounced and bank's overdraft. will be sent to jail.
have text messages, emails, messages saved about our online interactions and the banking transactions over the past 2-3 yrs. the money was sent under the criteria of gift/donation. It was initially sent to her own bank a/c. later on, to neighbour, a friend and her sister-in law who is also employee with the bank. i dont expect to get my money back. but wanna stop her making others a victim and her daughter(5yr) not to be influenced by her mom's bad habits. will need to confirm the ownership of her cell numbers used for text messages. Does YAHOO provide old chat data?
what legal actions are possible?

Yahoo will likely never provide you with what you want. I don't understand how you are a victim if what you gave her were gifts. How could you expect to marry someone you've never met? It's more foolish than it is being fooled, IMHO. Want to prevent others from making the same mistake? Find out where she lurks and let people know. Put up a post regarding your experience, not angry but informative. Good luck to you and hopefully you'll be MUCH smarter in the future.
