Money Stolen, Can I Sue?

So I gave my debit card to a good friend to go purchase something for me. Like an idiot, also gave her my pin.
She returned later, and ended up not using my card. She left that night, never returning my card, when I thought she had placed it back in my purse.
I called her the following day to pick up my card, scheduled a time, and she ended up making other plans.
I checked my bank account the following day, just to make sure everything was okay. I found out she had charged my card. She made a withdrawl, and a few purchases that rounded up to be $200. I called her, and was unable to get a hold of her. So I canceled the card.
I finally got a hold of her, and she said she must have "accidently" been charging my card. I gave her 3 days to pay me back, then she started to avoide me come the 3rd day. I gave her two more days to reply till I had to go to her house to pick it up. She only paid me $100 because that's supposedly all she had access to.
It has now been two weeks and she's back to avoiding me. I KNOW I really messed up. Is the only way of getting the rest of my money back is trying to confront her in person again? Or is there anyway I can take her to small claims court?
I don't NEED the rest of the money, but it's been nothing but a hassle and the principle to it all is getting to me. Please, help! Thanks.

You certainly could take her to small claims court. But the filing fees may not make it worthwhile. I'd exhaust all personal approaches first. (Is there a mutual friend who could intercede? Someone who could cover the debt for her? Maybe she wouldn't like word of this to get around?)
