our corp office is stationed in phoenix i work for a rental company and when we answer phones we have a script that needs to be followed. corp calls everynow and again and monitors our calls. lately our marketing co. president has been making mngrs from our marketing moniter each store.. i have been known at my work to do excellent calls.. this last time was diffrent.. the mngr who mmonitered me said that i left her on hol and never picked up line and they called a second time and that i told them we did not do the job they were asking for that particular day.. which are both lies! i never said this.. the first claimed call they posted.. i have proof... i was on my lunch at that tine.. there was no way i picked phone while i was clocked out on lunch not even in building.. also the second call they made before we closed and they lied and said it was a diffrent hour, and i never said we did not perform job, i let them know i had to call our corp dept and get part numbers bc thats what the customer service phone asked me to do and it wa bs closed at that hour .. i have proof of this also since it is saved on our system.. im just really agravated that they are making such ridiculous defamatory remarks about me that could harm my employment position.. is there anything i could do???

Can you PROVE that they LIED as opposed to making a mistake, misunderstood, jumped to a wrong conclusion, though you were someone else? What ACTUAL DAMAGES have you suffered because of this?

well i can prove it with my time card that i was clocked out at that hour on the first call and i can prove that thats npt what i said on the second call because the call notes are saved in our system, and for a fact, i had left a note for my co-worker who would be there first thing in the morning to call back this person and find out for them what they needed. to begin with the manager who claimed to have called and monitered me was not actuallr her.. because she is a female and the person i spoke to was a male, but she claims calls were done by her.. and also this was all in libel form through email she sent to president and president forwarded to all managers, and than my manager questioned me about it, i didnt feel everyone was entitled to receive that since it outs me in a ridicule state after beeing know for grat calls all this time.. all i got was yelling from my manager.. but i feel they are just doing this to defame me because i had a previous bad experience with a ex mngr and filed a complaint to human resources about sexual discrimination, than he got TRANSFERRED but not fired, because i think hes the presidents of companies favorite, so they are just trying to stick it to me another way... im not trying to sue or anything i just want to know if i can tell my employer how i feel or to be careful and honest next time without beeing afraid of getting fired?

There are no circumstances whatsoever under which the employer is required by law to fire someone. You may be able to prove they are mistaken but I doubt from what you say that you can prove they intentionally lied, which is what it would take to bring legal action.

You are free to tell your employer how you feel but your job will not be protected under the circumstances unless you can prove, not just imagine, that none of this would have happened if you had not complained of sexual harassment.
