Monthly Automated Checking Account Withdrawl Taken Early

I am new here, I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I have a car payment through M&I Bank and this payment is supposed to be taken from my account on the 25th of each month. Twice now they have attempted to withdraw the money earlier then that date and have overdrawn my account causing me overdraft fees and a lot of headaches. Is this legal to do? I have had one person from their phone support tell me that they have the right to withdraw the money up to 2 days prior to the actual withdrawl date. I have racked up 150.00 in charges and I do not have a lot of money so when I get this much money taken from me it means not eating for a week....

Thanks for any advise on this issue, it is greatly appreciated.

Did you ask these people what right they have to withdraw money earlier than the date specified and point to it? If they can't come up with a valid reason, then you've got a case against them and I'd demand they subtract the $150 from my next payment.
