mother had old out-dated will

My mother's estate needs to be settled. There is no will. I have two brothers and a sister. There are properties ,some with survivorship claims , some in my father's name (he passed in 2004). My sister had been the one taking care of mom the last few years and my brother has been helping pay medical bills. Do I need to seek council for these matters?
