I need some help, I am paying child support and have been doing so for 6 years now, But I met some one and we have been living together now for 17 months and plan on getting married soon, The problem is since I met my fiance my ex wont let me see my son so I plan on going to court for visitation rights. But my ex has turned my son against me( hes 9 )and she has him hateing my fiance even though he has never met her or even talked to her. When I took my sons Christmas gifts to him she threatened to call the cops on me because I knocked on her door. Well getting back to the question or problem. I have not been able to see my son for 16 months and what if I go to court and I get weekend visits or whatever but he wont come here with me because she has him scared to come here? I know once he comes here he will love it here and he will love my fiance, she has two daughters of her own and all children including teens love her like a mom. She is great with children. But what if he dont want to come here at least a few times to see what its like, will the judge make him or what? Please help because I miss my son so much it hurts. I can not go to her house to visit because she wont let my fiance in and then she tells my fiance that I said I love her and that we had sex, so I can not visit at her place it only causes trouble. Thank you Bob

The child does not get to choose. He must visit you. So you must document everything mom is doing and file contempt charges. If you do not have a specific court ordered visitation schedule then it is time to get one. I would see an attorney. In a few states there is actually a law about parental alienation, but not sure what state you are in. If you can prove mom is interfering with your relationship with your child then she might upset a judge.
If you actually have a court order that is specific on when you get visits, you can see if the police can help you but often they will not get in the middle of a civil dispute.
