Motion need help

How would I site ( what case law) a rec stolen property felony motion to dismiss based on 1. dollar amount of items do not equal the felony amount
2. no criminal intent- was told items belonged to person who was "selling" them
3. police didn't inventory items, didn't photograph items, and released items back to owner- defense did not have chance to verify items, nor research actual value for each item

If anyone would be so kind to lead me specifically to the case law in support off the above, it would be appreciated!
