My Landlord is telling me that I can't park my motorcycle next to my room mate's car in our coverd parking spot. The bike and car are both inside out designated spot and there is still room for us and the neighboring car to open doors, etc. I Chain my bike up to the post at the head of our parking spot, between my roomie's car and our neighbor's.

Is there any law in CA regarding usage of leased apartment parking spots? I didn't see anything in the lease that spelled out how two vehicles may share a spot.

Thanks,
Daniel

Normally this is up to an agreement between Landlord and tenant and laid down in the lease. If it was not mentioned in the lease, it probably still is laid out in the CC&Rs which are binding on the landlord. Usually only one car per spot is allowed.
