I have broke up with my daughters father. We were never married. I have full physical custody and we split legal custody. My finance lives in the state of Michigan and we plan to marry in Michigan. Our court order will not let me move out of state. If I get married out of state however, will i have the right to move my daughter and I out of the state of Massachusetts?

No. You have the option of moving to Michigan and leaving your daughter with her father, or you may ask the court for permission to move your daughter to Michigan. There is no guarantee that the court will allow it, though.

well when I went to court the mediator mentioned the only way of me leaving state was marriage or very very good job. so i curious how easy that was.

Dad can certainly fight it especailly since you are moving only for the purpose of a man. The move may be in your best interest, not the child's. Getting married will not guarantee you will be allowed to move.
