I was shopping at Walmart, and as I pull up to my drive way my husband tells me where's your license plate? I came to the conclusion that some one must of hit me in the parking lot. I realize it was to late to go to registration office to report the incident and request new plates. The following morning on my way to the registration office I get pull over and receive a ticket for driving with one license plate. Is there a way I can have this violation be waive since it had recently just happened?

You might want to contest the ticket. Explain to the judge what happened.

It would have been helpful if you had contacted police to report theft of the plate or a hit and run. That would support your claim of when the plate was lost.
The fine for this should be fairly low and would not effect insurance should you end up paying it.
I agree though. Show up in court and explain to the judge. Meanwhile get a new plate and present evidence the problem is corrected.
